SZIOLS X-KROSS WINTER

Best performance for your sport

One of the most important criteria for winter sports athletes: clear vision – even in the worst of weather conditions. Temperature variations between eyes and environment of up to 60°C place the highest physical demands on the glasses. The warmth buffer in the thermo screen equalises the variation and ensures constant fog-free vision.

The thermo lens provides temperatures balancing capa-bilities (eye/environment) in cold weather below 0°. The Alpine lens provides greater wind protection, while the Nordic lens provides adequate ventilation.

THE TARGET IN PLAIN VIEW

If X-Kross could speak, it would tell you a lot.

David Schnell, an important member of our community and CEO of BestOfWhite, has summed up the com-plex topic „Vision for Sport“ in his own words.

“Having a good view outdoors is my number one priority. X-Kross is a vital part of my skiing equipment and because I’m always moving through deep snow, I have to make sure that my eyes are protected from powdery snow and wind, no matter what the circumstances or the light conditions. X-GKross lenses offer the best performance in every kind of weather. What’s more, their sporty look fits with any helmet or skiing outfit. My love and excitement when it comes to winter sports, something that I share with the Sziols team, means that my Sziols sports glasses are a permanent fixture in my luggage.``

WHICH SIZE WILL FIT ME?

S or L – depending on the type of use

In general, the large lenses (size L) are approx. 5 mm longer from top to bottom than the small lenses (size S). The large lenses are mostly used by men, whereas women tend to opt for the small versions. That said, they can be used in a variety of different ways, and your choice may also depend on factors such as your bone structure around the eyes, sensitivity to glare and gusts of wind, and tendency to perspire. The bigger the lenses, the more protection they offer against wind and glare. However, this also means that they are tighter against the eye sockets and thus steam up more quickly as the wearer perspires, despite the ACM function.

OUR TIP FOR WINTER SPORTS ENTHUSIASTS

In temperatures of under 0°, your main concerns will be the cold, wind protection and protection against glare. This means that you require perfect protection with large frames – women too, in most cases. Women with very delicate faces tend to opt for size S. For cross-country skiers and general skiers we also recommend size S, as these offer greater ventilation and are therefore less likely to become fogged.
